Akaram AG, established 1979 in Zug / Switzerland, as a production and trading company for technical products, conveyor belts and endless driving belts.

To 1986:
Mostly active as trade partner for technical drive units and conveyor belts worldwide.

1986:
Starting with technical textiles for industrial bakery technology. Development of new conveyor belts with new revolutionary all in woven spiral splice (zip system). Applications: for smallest pulley dia. 5 mm.

1988:
Production start in Switzerland for new bakery conveyor belt with 10 weavers.
Distribution: worldwide

1990:
Expansion of research and development for endless felts, sleeves and fabrics for the textile finishihing industry. Partnership with Kantex-Textil GmbH, GPartnerschaft mit Kantex-Textil GmbH, Germany. Production of first endless produced Silicon coated blanket for decatizing machine (Conticrab). Sales of endless felts and sleeves worldwide.

1995:
Co-operation contract for development of first high load endless blankets for Menschner, Hemmer and later m-tec company, Germany.Continuous enlarging of activities in the textile finishing industry worldwide. Closest co-operations for new products with Italian and Germany OEM’s.

2000:
Start of Akaram-Asia Ltd. in Bangkok / Thailand for local production of conveyor belts, service and sales South-East Asia.

2004:
Foundation of own plant in Italy (Brescia) for endless felt and blanket production.
Brixia Feltri s.r.l., Torbole Casaglia (BS) / Italy

2006:
Production start of endless Woolfelts with strong PES core, in all dimensions.

2008:
Production of enless felts with Silicon, PU, PVC coatings, in widths up to 3'500 mm.

2010:
Expansion of sales and marketing activities worldwide. Represented in 30 countries.

 Research, development of new products is made in Switzerland and Germany.
